MEET THE TEAM
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Nori Scheffel grew up as a member of the Canadian Pony Club, learning proper horsemanship from an early age. Many lessons, rallies and events later, Nori successfully moved into the hunter/jumper world, where she showed on the "A" circuit.
After an intense family journey with three show horses and all their belongings, Nori, her parents and her two sisters ended up in San Diego, CA, where she continued her career in the Del Mar area. She took an 18-month hiatus from showing to broaden her knowledge at the Yorkshire Riding Centre, where she received a British Horse Society Instruction Certification (BHSAI) for teaching equine skills. With her diploma in hand, she ventured to Germany to advance her dressage skills and basic equitation knowledge.
Upon her return from Europe, Nori started a successful freelance, lesson and training business in California. She also spent over five years coaching the Fallbrook Pony Club, where she prepped a team for the United Stated Pony Clubs Championships held at the Kentucky Horse Park.
After falling in love with farrier Dave Scheffel, the two married and took a trailer full of belongings with them on a five-day, cross-country journey to their new acreage named Scheffelridge Farm. A true labor of love, Nori utilizes Scheffelridge to share her horsemanship, sportsmanship, and a program for every aspiring rider with her barn family, running a successful, family oriented, lesson, boarding and training facility.
