Scheffelridge Farm is proud to offer one of the only IEA teams in the Lexington area, providing riders with a unique opportunity to compete in a structured, team-focused environment. Our program is built on a strong foundation of integrity, horsemanship, and consistent training, giving riders the tools they need to succeed both in and out of the ring.
Our IEA team is designed to develop confident, adaptable riders through catch-riding and equitation-based competition. Riders gain valuable experience learning to effectively ride a variety of horses while strengthening their fundamentals, ring presence, and mental game.
With a supportive, driven team culture, our riders are encouraged to work hard, support one another, and take pride in their progress. Whether you’re new to IEA or looking to compete at a higher level, Scheffelridge Farm offers a dedicated program that helps riders grow, compete, and stand out.

WHAT IS IEA?
IEA is a middle and high school equestrian program where riders compete as individuals and teams in flat and over fences classes. Riders earn points toward postseason championships, with a season running from fall through spring. Horses are provided and randomly assigned at each show, teaching riders adaptability and preparing them for college-style competition.
